ABOUT
Vismante Cai is a Melbourne-based artist and holds a Master of Contemporary Art from the Victorian College of Arts, University of Melbourne. Previously she completed undergraduate degrees from Vilnius Academy in Lithuania and ENSAAMA, École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art in Paris. She has exhibited across Europe and Australia and her work is held in the Vilnius Academy of Arts, together with private collections in Australia and Europe.
Her multi-disciplinary practice encompasses drawing, painting, printmaking, digital media and installation. Reflecting the world in flux, together with a personal migratory experience, her works address notions of transition, in-betweenness, fragmentation and impermanence.
